How this is worked out
We use the EU sizing standard (EN 13402) that most high-street brands follow. Band: underbust in centimetres rounded to the nearest 5 (70, 75, 80…), which converts to UK/US/India 32, 34, 36…. Cup: the difference between bust and underbust, in 2 cm steps — AA 10–12 cm, A 12–14 cm, B 14–16 cm and so on. UK and US cup letters split after D differently (UK DD, E, F, FF…; US DD/E, DDD/F, G…).

What is a sister size?
Go down a band and up a cup (34C → 32D) and the cup volume stays about the same. Useful when the band rides up or feels tight.
The band feels loose on the tightest hook.
Try one band size down with one cup up. A new bra should fit on the loosest hook so you can tighten it as it stretches.
